THE HOME OFFICE

This client went from dorm room living to an apartment, to being first time home buyers. The "home office" was the first project to tackle after moving in, due to the need to work from home during the pandemic. Her husband is a teacher and needed a comfortable, organized space to work in for 8+ hours a day. She liked gold accents and he requested wood and rustic iron metals. The goal of this office space was to showcase equal parts masculine and feminine. With it being one of the first rooms you notice when walking in the front door, it was important to make it inviting just as much as it was comfortable. Combining wood and iron within the furniture elevated that grounded feel, while adding in the gold accents for the right amount of glam to catch attention. The balance between modern and traditional in this room is very subtle, making it casually flow together. Welcome to a sophisticated, modern work space.
