This client went from dorm room living, to an apartment and now they are first time home buyers! The "home office" was the first project to tackle in their new home, due to the need to work from home during the pandemic. Her husband is teacher and needed a comfortable and organized space to work in for 8+ hours a day. She liked gold accents and he wanted wood and iron. The goal of this office space was to showcase equal parts masculine and feminine. With it being one of the first rooms you notice when walking in the front door, it was important to make it inviting just as much as it was comfortable. Combining lots of wood and iron elevated that grounded feel - but adding in the gold accents was just the right amount of glam it needed to catch attention when walking in the door. The balance between modern and traditional in this room is very subtle - making it flow so well together. We were so happy with the result and the breathtaking space.
